UCB Office Open on Wednesdays

We are open on Wednesdays at the DSBVI in Salt Lake City. If you need to check to be certain someone is there before you make your travel plans, please call 801-520-3766 and speak with Donni. She can sell you cab coupons, the UCB t-shirts and the braille measuring spoons and cups. There are also the famous small hammers with screw drivers packed in the handle. You can pay your membership at the office and make reservations for the activities. These purchases can also be made by calling Anna at 801-654-3772 to pay by credit card.

April Ceramics Class Schedule

This class is open to any blind or visually impaired person in the state of Utah and is currently being held on Wednesdays at the Utah State Division of Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 250 N 1950 W, Salt Lake City, in room 301 from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Classes are available 40 weeks of the year. The class will be taking a break in the month of December, and only at the discretion of the instructor. The attendees of this program only pay the cost of the materials needed to complete the projects they choose to make and a $2 per month breakage fee. We have obtained Grants to pay for the cost of the instructor.

Utah Opera Presents Die Fledermaus

Wednesday, May 9, 2018 -Doors open at 5:30pm

Presentation begins promptly at 6:00pm and the Opera starts at 7:00pm at the Capitol Theatre, 50 W 200 S, Salt Lake City.

This year's presentation is Johann Strauss Jr.'s Die Fledermaus and promises to be great fun! It is an operetta with lots of waltzy love tunes and will be performed in English. It is the grand finale of Utah Opera's 40th anniversary season.

Reservations are required no later than Monday, May 7.

For Users of Dog Guides -Greatest Paws on Earth

Greatest Paws on Earth is an independent group of people interested in guide dogs and issues concerning them. They meet each month on the 3rd Thursday via conference call to talk about a different topic in which dog guide users may be interested.
Our next meeting will be on May 17. We will have a discussion about going to the Vet. The call-in number is 800-835-8395, access code 1623768.
